Excel 2007

I just upgraded to Office 2007 and the export to Excel feature failed with the message - 'Failed to export data to Excel.'

SQLDBX Version 3.33

Thanks!

Re: Excel 2007

Export to Excel 2007 should work fine.
Does it fail always or only sometimes?
Does it export any data or fails on a first row?

Re: Excel 2007

It has been failing everytime since upgrading office.  It opens excel but no data gets imported then I get the SQLDBX error.

Re: Excel 2007

We just released new test version of SqlDbx.
It should have better error message in case of Excel export failure.
It would be very helpful if you download and try it

Re: Excel 2007

The message I get now is:

Failed to export to Excel.
The server threw an exception.

Tried it again and got:

Failed to export to Excel.
The RPC server is unavailable.

Re: Excel 2007

Very strange.
We have special debug version to help resolve issue like this,
but it only available to licensed users.
Are you using Personal of Professional version?

Re: Excel 2007

I am using the personal version.  Are there any settings in Excel that might cause something like this?  I just started using this version of excel so I am not very familiar with it.

Re: Excel 2007

SqlDbx uses Excel through ActiveX interface.
Would be useful to know if other applications able to use Excel through ActiveX.
